I have been spinning for approximately four years and have been a certified instructor for two years. Occasionally I will sub at St Louis Spinning. If I am not spinning indoors, I am cycling outdoors as well running in events in the St Louis area. Also, I have cycled in the MS 150 ride for two years now and have done some cycling out west in Arizona, Colorado, Utah, Montana, and Canada. Spinning is not only my passion, but has enhanced my outdoor riding. Spinning indoors during the off season is great conditioning for cycling outdoors. Basically, I believe that keeping your body strong and making healthy eating choices is the key to maintaining your health. Therefore, I believe that spinning is a great conditioner for your mind, body and soul.
On a personal note, I have a BS in Business from Illinois State University and BSN in Nursing from University of MO-St Louis. I have been a nurse for 10 years. I have served in the Navy for 3 1/2 years as a Nurse at Portsmouth Naval Medical Center. My nursing experience has taught me that physical fitness and good nutrition are key ingredients to living and maintaining a healthy life.
